Over sharing?

Looks like Vassar made a mistake and sent some people acceptance e mails by mistake, what seems weird to me is that within a few hours most of them had told everyone they know about the acceptance, I blame facebook, even a few years ago the acceptance would have been corrected long before the recipient had a chance to tell their entire family, but not now thanks to social media everyone has their own paparazzi following them around reporting everything good and bad they do; perhaps their should be a twelve hour waiting period on social media posts just to make sure you really want people to know whatever it is you are tweeting or posting on Facebook

"I like to fire people"

Looks like Romney may have really stepped in it this time. Even though I know the quote is out of context he just made the case everyone has been trying to make about him, that he is an unfeeling, uncaring rich guy. It's sort of like when John Kerry said "I was for it before I was against it".

Most politicians can at least fake compassion, Mitt Romney can't even do that.

Pat Buchanon finally makes too many racist comments?

MSNBC suspends Pat Buchanon I can't help but think its better to have racists like Pat on the air where everyone can see hear them express their views, at least it makes it harder for people to claim racism doesn't exist when guys like Buchanon are on the air.

Maybe not a complete idiot

I still think Kristof says just enough smart stuff so that he can completely miss the pint elsewhere but this column is not too bad.

Kristof is an idiot

I have always thought Nicholas Christoph was one of the worst columnists ever, maybe other are starting to notice as well.

What would you do for a million dollars?

The mindboggles, but I think Matthew Yglesias's assertion that most people would kill their favorite pet for one million dollars goes a long way towards explaining what's wrong with neo-liberals.

Who would Jesus hate?

It amazes me how much time and effort churches spend hating some group, the catholic church refuses to help gays adopt, and feels taxpayers should help subsidize their hatred. It makes me wonder if religious people pay any attention to what they claim to believe.
